Alaina Claiborne by MK McClintock review

All I can say is WOW! This is a British Agent Novel. I thought it would be like Sherlock Holmes. Boy was I wrong. This book was so much better. Alaina is a young girl who is young, sweet and Innocent. Her family loves her and she has a best friend that she intends to be best friends with for the rest of her life.
When tragedy strikes, she is forced to go after those responsible. She yearns to set things right, but at the same time she stays close to her new home with her aunt and uncle. She always wondered why she was saved, and what really happened that night. She has blacked out the past and has started to remember little tid bits of that fateful night. The more she remembers, the more she is ready to find out the whole truth.

She runs into Tristan, the new man next door. He is instantly drawn to her and vows to help her. She is drawn to him as well, but her heart has been closed for so long, and her past love keeps resurfacing. Can she let go of the past, and embrace her future? Why is Tristan so intent on helping her? Who kidnaps her? twice? Why does the search lead back to Alaina's house?
There were so many twists and turns, I was guessing until the end. It was hard for me to put the book down and was a fast read. This is definitely going to be one of my favorite reads of 2013!
