Synopsis

Following the latest cryptic message that might lead them to the truth about their parents, Emme Mayson and Jackie Dickson are pulled into another murder investigation when a man dressed in a kilt falls from the sky onto their truck.
As if a dead body isn’t enough, FBI Special Agent Chris Meechum and sexy caretaker Sam Fender try to rein in their sleuthing, but the sisters are determined to solve this murder. Men in kilts, Renaissance Faires, and a few mobsters in all the wrong places complicate the case.
Emme Mayson is a Southern charmer from Alabama. Jackie Dickson is a straight-forward professional from Boston, they aren’t exactly a match made in heaven. The only thing keeping them from starting another war between the states is the mystery surrounding their parents, and their own lives.

Interview

Where are you from?
I'm a Midwest woman! Born and raised in Ohio.....a true Buckeye aka 'worthless nut'. LOL

Tell us your latest news?
I just released the second book in my Mayson-Dickson series. It's humorous cozy mystery series, that has romance, mystery, and thriller elements.

When and why did you begin writing?
My mom said I was born telling stories. I wrote lots of stories, notebooks full as a kid. I sold my first article to a teen magazine at seventeen.

When did you first consider yourself a writer?
The first time I was able to pay a bill with the check I got for writing. For many years I wrote 'on the side', while working day jobs, so when I earned enough to pay the electric bill, I cried.

What inspired you to write your first book?
Not a what, but a who, my mother. She was a voracious reader and fed my book addiction. She'd read me passages of whatever she was reading, usually Zane Grey, Louis L'Amour, or Max Brand. That's probably why my first series, a romantic comedy series, features cowboys.

Do you have a specific writing style?
Nope. If you look at my website I call myself an eclectic writer and that pretty well sums me up. I write scripts for videos, blog for several online sites, string for newspapers, write romantic comedy, cozy mysteries, and even have an historical set in ancient Rome. Eclectic.

How did you come up with the title?
My entire family is from the Southern USA, and I was born a Yankee. I spent a lot of time traveling across that Mason-Dixon line. So, the title evolved from my childhood. I can say y'all and you guys in the same sentence, without blinking!

One sister in Mayson-Dickson is from Boston, Mass, and the other from a small town close to Talladega, Alabama.....they instantly have issues! LOL

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
No matter where we come from -- North, South, East or West....no matter how funny our accent, or our ways may be, we are all pretty much the same inside. Embrace the differences, you might discover some things you really like.

What would you like my readers to know?
That I am so very grateful that someone out there would take a chance on my book. They work all week and they actually plunk down money to read my book. Man, that is one more humbling thrill. I sincerely hope I live up to their expectations, and I thank them.
