Katherine never thought of herself as a temptress, certainly not with Lucien. Why, she’s known him almost all her life! Yet as she waltzes in Lucien’s arms at the Kingsborough Ball, she can’t help but be drawn to him. Has he always been this hard and masculine? And where did those dimples come from? Kate is not looking for a husband . . . but how can she not surrender to Lucien’s charms when love is at stake?

Interview:

Where are you from?
I was born in Denmark, grew up in Spain and have since lived in France, Ghana and the US.
Tell us your latest news?
I’ve recently handed in the first book in a new and exciting series along with a novella which I’m hoping will go on sale later this year.
When and why did you begin writing?
It’s something I’ve always wanted to try doing so when I eventually made the decision to complete an actual novel I think it was largely to prove to myself that I was capable of achieving that goal.
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
When I held the first paperback copy of How Miss Rutherford Got Her Groove Back in my hands. That made it real.
What inspired you to write your first book?
Reading Julia Quinn’s Romancing Mr. Bridgerton and falling in love with her sense of humor.
Do you have a specific writing style?
I would have to say light and visual.
How did you come up with the title?
It was a joint effort with the wonderful people at Avon. We pretty much brainstormed strong verbs and adverbs in order to make it match the titles of the previous books in the series – a challenge since it also had to reflect the plot of the book.
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
Yes. In this book I decided to explore self-esteem issues, how hurtful and damaging negative remarks can be, the lingering effects of such remarks and how difficult it can be for a person to overcome the hang-ups that develop as a result.
How much of the book is realistic?
Hmm…good question. I think the romance between the hero and heroine is realistic. Not sure how likely it is for them to be hunted by a villain or for the heroine to get kidnapped but it certainly makes a more exciting read =)
Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
While a large portion of it is pure fabrication I always add elements from my own life and experiences to my books. This is especially true of the food and settings though I also like to offer my own opinions on various topics in some of the dialogue.
What books have most influenced your life most?

There are so many, but one of my favorites is definitely The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

What would you like my readers to know?
Each book in the Kingsborough Ball is loosely based on a fairy tale. In The Danger In Tempting An Earl, I had Beauty And The Beast in mind, even though it’s very subtle and the scars lie beneath the surface.
