My Review:
This is a book that everyone should read. Freedom is not free. A lot of our veterans go underappreciated. Chad is a veteran. He thinks that his life is over because he is injured. however fate has other plans for him. He feels responsible for his comrades, and he is trying to deal with his own issues. He is not that nice to his mom at the beginning of the book, and I loved how his dad was the Boss, and also a marine. It is ironic that his mom gets so much drama. because she is the reason he is sent to Lexi, in Africa. Once he realizes that Lexi is his best friend's widow, he knows he has to keep his promise to take care of her. He feels bad enough that he missed their wedding. When he gets there, Lexi is pregnant, attractive and stubborn. She is also in danger. Not only does she go into labor, but she goes into labor while Chad is with her. This was a fun book to read, and I liked there was a lot of family in it. Even though it is part of a series, I did not feel as though I was missing any information, and was a great stand alone for me. The chapters were a little long, but they were worth it. The ending was a great fit, and I  enjoyed it. I am giving this book a 5/5. All opinions are my own.
